L’incontro tra Paola e Abdelhak avviene a causa o per merito di un cagnolino ferito. Paola lo trova sul marciapiede, ma non riesce a soccorrerlo perchè il piccolo non si fa avvicinare. Abdelhak arriva con le borse della spesa. Sta rientrando a casa per preparare da mangiare: siamo in pieno Ramadan e lui è a digiuno dalla sera prima. Si ferma per prestare soccorso al cagnolino (e a Paola!). Constata che il piccolo ha ricevuto un colpo alla schiena da una moto. Spiega che ha esperienza con gli animali perchè lavora come volontario e socio di un’associazione di Marrakech. Si offre infine per recuperare il piccolino dopo il tramonto. Ha in effetti mantenuto la parola anche se è passato a prendere il cagnolino molto molto dopo il tramonto!
Dalla vicenda di questo cucciolo è nato un rapporto di amicizia e di condivisione di un sogno: quello di creare una nostra associazione per soccorrere gli animali in difficoltà e per tenerli al sicuro. Questo sogno è stato realizzato in due tappe. La prima è stata la creazione di un’associazione in loco, PAN Marrakech, che è nata alla fine del 2022 e ha già soccorso e ospitato più di 60 animali nella fattoria-rifugio di PAN. La seconda tappa è stata la creazione di Ànbara in Italia con l’obiettivo di allargare la portata delle azioni ai temi ambientali più ampi e con un respiro internazionale.

PAN’s farm (a multi-episode story) II episode
The meeting between Paola and Abdelhak occurs due to (or thanks to) an injured dog. Paola finds him on the sidewalk, but is unable to help him because the little dog doesn’t let her come closer. Abdelhak arrives with his shopping bags. He is returning home to prepare food: we are in the middle of Ramadan and he has been fasting since the night before. He decides to stop to help the dog (and Paola!). He acknowledges that the dog was hit in the back by a motorbike. He explains that he has experience with animals because he has worked as a volunteer and member of an association in Marrakech. Finally, he offers to pick up the little dog after sunset.
He actually kept his word even though he came to pick up the dog well after sunset!
From the story of this puppy stems a relationship of friendship and the sharing of a dream: that of creating our own association to help stranded animals and keep them in a safe place. This dream was actually realized in two stages. The first was the creation of an on-site association, PAN Marrakech, which was funded at the end of 2022 and has already rescued and hosted more than 60 animals in its farm-shelter. The second stage was the creation of Ànbara in Italy with the aim of broadening the scope of the actions to environmental issues with an international scope.
