Sabato scorso il team di PAN è stato chiamato per recuperare un asinello ferito ad una zampa a 30 km da Essaouira. Si tratta dell’ennesimo caso di abbandono di un animale sfruttato dall’uomo e poi abbandonato a se stesso perchè inabile al lavoro. Pare lo avessero usato per azionare la macina in un mulino. Quando si è infortunato ad una zampa lo hanno semplicemente abbandonato in campagna. Lo abbiamo chiamato Pepe e adesso si trova nel rifugio/fattoria di PAN dove verrà curato e potrà fare compagnia a Gladys, l’asinella abbandonata tempo fa in circostanze simili.

Last Saturday PAN team was called to rescue a donkey injured in a leg 30 km from Essaouira. This is yet another case of abandonment of an animal exploited by man and then abandoned to itself because it is unable to work. It seems they had used it to operate the millstone in a mill. When he injured his paw they simply abandoned him in the countryside. We called him Pepe and he is now on the PAN farm/shelter where he will be cared for and will be able to keep Gladys company, the little donkey abandoned some time ago in similar circumstances.
