I giorni scorsi è stata recuperata un’asinella con un grosso rigonfiamento al ventre. L’abbiamo chiamata Telma. I veterinari escludono che si tratti di cisti quanto piuttosto di una massa agli intestini. Andrà rimossa chirurgicamente. L’operazione verrà effettuata nei prossimi giorni e abbiamo già individuato una clinica adatta. Ci stiamo inoltre attivando per trovare degli aiuti per sostenere le spese veterinarie. Ringraziamo il team dell’associazione PAN che si è occupato del recupero che è avvenuto vicino a Safi, sulla costa del Marocco, ossia a circa 150 km dalla fattoria-rifugio. E che si è fatto carico del trasporto di Telma a Marrakech per l’operazione. Ringraziamo anche Safi Media che ha voluto dedicare un servizio a questo intervento di salvataggio.
Purtroppo sono molto frequenti gli abbandoni degli animali malati o infortunati da parte dell’uomo dopo averli sfruttati senza pietà. Speriamo che le nostre immagini e il servizio giornalistico servano per sensibilizzare le persone e responsabilizzarle sul benessere degli animali.
Rescue of donkey Telma in Safi (Morocco)
Few days ago, a little donkey was rescued with a large swelling on her belly. We named her Telma. Veterinarians rule out the possibility that it is a cyst but, rather, a mass in the intestines. It will need to be surgically removed. The operation will be carried out in the next few days and we have already identified the clinic. We have also made all possible efforts to cover the veterinary expenses. We wish to thank the team of PAN association who drove all the way to Safi, on the coast of Morocco, approximately 150 km from the farm-shelter. And who took charge of transporting Telma to Marrakech for the operation. We also wish to thank Safi Media who reported on this rescue operation.
Unfortunately, sick or injured animals are abandoned by humans very frequently after having been exploited mercilessly. We hope that our pictures and the journalistic report can help raise awareness and make people more responsible for animal welfare.
